Dr. Sophia Boshra Iravani will consider what type of anesthesia is safe and adequate to be administered, specific to each patient’s needs, dental treatment, and the dentists' expectations.
Anesthesia is very safe; however, there is always risks with everything in life. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, and sore throat; yet, it varies patient to patient. The side effects are short lived and can last 24-48 hours.
Recovery time depends on the patient’s health, physiology and the type of anesthesia administered.
Patients can feel groggy after anesthesia and unable to operative machinery. It is imperative that the patient has an escort on the day of surgery to drive them from and to home.
